The White House is now claiming that inflation is the result of a Putin price hike, and they are refusing to claim responsibility, either directly or indirectly, for the current economic crisis. The use of Vladimir Putin as a scapegoat is as lame as it sounds. It is absurd to argue that the highest inflation in the last 40 years was caused by actions that are less than 6 weeks old.

There is no returning to normal; we are living in the new normal. Manipulated Fed-run markets are the default now. You think people were pissed when they had to pay more for everyday goods at the same time that their investment portfolios were increasing in value? Wait till you see people's reaction when their investment portfolios are losing material percentages, and the price of goods are still high. That situation is coming faster than you think.

I think we have an epidemic of cowardice. There's a pandemic of cowardice going on in the world. Forget any other pandemic. Cowardice is the major pandemic going on—on all levels.

Why are people running around with masks on outside? They're afraid ... They're afraid of the social stigma and social ostracization. You're not wearing a mask outside because you're afraid of a virus—that doesn't even make sense. So, everyone is just living in fear all the time.

One of my major hypotheses in life is that every customer support inquiry is a function of a product flaw. Someone doesn't know how to do something that you want them to be able to do. So, for example, when you use your microwave oven, you never contact customer support ... There's always a default way to make the microwave oven just work, and every product, whether it's an app or website, should have that default experience...

I've been in more lucky situations during the pandemic than not. At the same time, you have to have a lot of empathy because the whole world is not in the cloud; the whole world is not Chamath [Palihapitiya], and David Sacks, and Elon Musk, and Pomp; the whole world is not in Bitcoin and blockchain; the world is construction workers, restaurant owners, hotel workers, service people, [and] stuck at home school teachers.

For a while, I believed what society tells you, which is that you have to work really hard to be successful. Sure, it helps, but hey, I [became] successful, and I still didn't work that hard ... A far more important factor to success is project selection. Most people choose the wrong project.

I used to keep a shoebox in my closet of all my bad traits. Every month, I'd review it, curse at myself, and look at what I did wrong. It enabled me to be right. That's why I spend a gigantic amount of time talking about what to do wrong, because if you do things wrong, and you don't note them and figure them out, you're not going to change ... The wins take care of themselves; it's the losses that wreck you.

He who has the Bitcoin makes the laws, and the countries that are really active in this the most are going to be extremely happy that they did. Those countries that lag behind are going to be part of that new second world. We're reordering what constitutes a first-world nation. The first-world nation will be heavily into Bitcoin, and then the second and third world would be lagging in Bitcoin.

We will look back on the announcement of the Fed creating a 4% [inflation] target as the pivotal moment for Bitcoin going from technology-enabling, provably scarce digital money to [realizing] this is necessary for having a real... provably scarce digital asset for the globe that is not governable by any central government.

Can you imagine sending your kids to a public school right now to be taught that boys have vaginas and girls have penises; and that if they're white, they're automatically racist; and that... the country didn't start in 1776—it started in 1619; and that the primacy of everything of the country was driven by racism and slavery? I mean, you're basically sending your kids to a brainwashing institution.

The only people I've ever seen succeed are so talented and so off-the-charts in at least one dimension that you walk away from the initial meeting and you say, 'You know what? There's a nonzero chance that this person could actually change the planet.' And if you don't feel that, in my view, the chance to actually change the planet basically rounds to 0, so I'll just pass as an investor.

No, you cannot be obese and healthy. You cannot be healthy at any size. That is a lie. If you are 600 lbs, you are not healthy, period. You cannot be healthy at any size. It's a complete lie.

What do you need to do if you're the US government? I would argue you actually need to embrace crypto because crypto is the one thing that the Chinese government will not do. They don't want capital to leave China and not be in their control. They don't want to give away privacy ... All of the things that make crypto work are all of the things that the Chinese government doesn't want to do. So, I think if you're the US government, you like double-down on crypto... You like really embrace it.

Soon, the vaccine is going to be mandated ... I should have some sovereignty over my own blood. You're telling me I don't get to choose what's in my bloodstream? The government owns me to that level, like a sheep in a farm where I can't even decide amongst myself? I can't make a personal decision to keep my blood pure of your experimental vaccines? This is insane.

The average age of death of corona is higher than the average life expectancy. It's incredible. And people, to this day, still put their masks on. You must have a mental disorder to be putting a mask on.

If you wear a mask, it's for one of two reasons. You're scared of corona, which is pathetic ... Option two, you're not scared of corona; you're scared of the government. So, option one, you're a coward ... Option two, you're not scared of corona; you just comply, knowing it's stupid, making you a coward. You're either an idiot or a coward.

The Bitcoin narrative of digital gold... It's not 10x better than gold; it's 100x. Maybe it's 1,000x better than gold.

Figure out how to get paid for the thing that makes you weird ... Rather than try to be somebody you're not to separate yourself from the pack, look yourself in the mirror and figure out why do all my friends think I'm a total fucking weirdo? And figure out how to get paid on that—because nobody's going to be able to replicate your weirdness.

A bad day is coming—for all of us. For all of us in our future, there's a 100% probability that either we're going to die or someone we love is going to die. So, a bad day is coming.
