The world goes at the pace of the lowest common denominator, especially in schools—they have to teach the curricula in such a way that nobody gets left behind. If you're smarter and more focused than average, you can go much faster than most people.

If you really want to call attention to yourself and do something cool that people pay attention to, then look at what the rest of the world is doing and do the opposite.

I've never liked TV. I'm not going to watch TV just so I can chat at the water cooler about 'Game of Thrones.' Fuck that. I'd rather reclaim those 300 hours of my life.

To me, solitude is the place where I can just do what I'm doing; think what I'm thinking; be lost in thought, output, productivity, creating, writing, and thinking without the friction of having to interact with people.

The adding mindset is deeply ingrained. It's easy to think, 'I need something else;' it's hard to look, instead, at what to remove.

It's fine to be as confident as you can possibly be as long as you're not looking down on others because of it.
